Rental Terms & Conditions
LIABILITY DAMAGE WAIVER
The renter pays a daily charge of $5.00 USD for 3rd Party Liability Coverage. This coverage carries a deductible of $500 USD.
COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER
Renter pays daily charges of $10,$15 or $20usd daily for CDW collision damage waiver. This coverage carries a deductible of $1000-$1500 USD, depending on the vehicle.
DEPOSIT
A fully refundable deposit of $500-$1000, depending on the vehicle rented, is required. This amount will be placed as a “Deposit hold” on the renter’s credit card. The amount will NOT be processed unless to cover the deductible or for any damages caused to the vehicle.
AGE REQUIREMENT
All drivers MUST be at least 25 years old or have had a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years accident-free.
LOCAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
The Government requires that all drivers must have a valid Antigua & Barbuda driver’s license or purchase a temporary permit before hiring to drive. These are sold at OJ&T’S car rentals for a one-time fee of $20usd and are valid for 3 months.
ACCIDENTS
All accidents must be reported to the police immediately.
INSURANCE
It is important to note that Insurance is optional and that some credit card companies cover Collision Damage Wavier (CDW). When insurance is declined and an accident occurs, the renter’s credit card will be charged for all repairs and loss of use of the vehicle.
